Name: Eric Country: United States State: Illinois Metro: Bloomington-Normal Birthday: 8/14/1985 Gender: Male
Interests: Theatre—specifically acting, directing, shop work, and lighting. I am also a political nut and history nut. Thus my double major of Theatre and Political Science…the best of both worlds. I love music, and pride myself in having a wide variety of musical taste, as well as play piano and sing. Star Trek is one of my avid hardcore interests in life, and I can probably equate any situation in life to an episode of any of the Star Trek series. I could tell you just about any kind of Star Trek fact with disgusting accuracy. I love the three Ball's (Basket, Base and Foot), the Green Bay Packers, my friends, and Linda. Expertise: Star Trek, Theatre and Politics as noted above. I also worked in a library for 4 years with a lot of previous expierence. I am an expert in smartassness and sarcasm. | I went down to the beach and saw Kiki She was, like, all "ehhhh" And I was, like, "whatever!"
Then this chick comes up to me and she's all, like, "Hey, aren't you that dude?" And I'm, like, "yeah, whatever!"
So later I'm at the pool hall And this girl comes up And she's, like, "awww" And I'm, like, "yeah, whatever!"
Cuz this is my United States of Whatever! And this is my United States of Whatever! And this is my United States of Whatever!
And then it's three A.M. And I'm on the corner, wearing my leather This dude comes up and he's, like, "hey, punk!" I'm, like, "yeah, whatever!"
Then I'm throwing dice in the alley Officer Leroy comes up and is, like, "Hey, I thought I told you..." And I'm, like, "yeah, whatever!"
And then up comes Zafo I'm, like, "yo, Zafo. What's up?" He's, like, "nothin'" And I'm, like, "that's cool."
Cuz this is my United States of Whatever! And this is my United States of Whatever! | | |

| On Iraq I am growing weary when it comes to talk of withdrawing from Iraq. I don’t think it is the proper thing to do at the moment. The country is not stable enough to take care of its self, and I don’t think a years time will do it. Am I objecting to a pull out? No, I think eventually we need to. And setting tough deadlines for the government of Iraq is the start. Actually withdrawing a majority of our combat troops before the country is stable enough is a BAD IDEA. We are giving the enemy the knowledge to take it easy, make things “easy” until we leave and then WHAM, they will be right back at it, but we wont be there to do anything about it. Can we come back? Sure. But only after thousands die, and then more to die in the process of reclaiming what was lost, and then rebuilding all over again. It will be an endless circle. We need to get the Iraqi government strong enough to be independent, and that means supporting them, training troops, and getting other countries in the Middle East to support Iraq. In the mean time, we need to stay and clean up the mess that we have created. We are responsible for what happens in that country now because we intervened. We toppled the government, and we have a responsibility to restore it as a world power. The Democrats are also committing political suicide in my opinion. If they mess up, and this backfires on them, this can cost them any hope for the Whitehouse in 08 because Republicans will now have ammunition to say to the American people, look what they did, they screwed up, vote for us we will make a change. I grow weary of politics in this day and age. Everything is such a mess in my view, and I wouldn’t know where to start cleaning it up if I had the power. My problem is that I am young and idealistic, I’m sure that will be beaten out of me in the next 10 years. Till then what do I do? How can we change the political thought process to a positive way that embraces change for those in need, for those without a voice, for those who hold dear the ideals of this country rather than worrying about major corporations interests, single interest groups that are narrow-minded, and corruption in government? We have to make politicians change…how the hell do you do that? You can’t just vote them out of office because the new ones are usually just as bad. Change people….we need to find change in the thought process and how people approach elections!!! This is such a pivotal point in the history of our country, and if we are not careful, we may find ourselves no longer a superpower in the world. We need to restore our world respect among nations, work toward improving the environment of the world, not just crushing terrorism but also changing the minds of those individuals so we don’t create another generation taught to hate and destroy the west, create healthcare for all, well I could continue on my soap box of what I think the perfect world would be. Change, positive change, that what we need to focus on. | | |
| What should you do instead of doing your homework due the next day? Drink. That’s what I did. Bad idea. Oh well. Time for bed. I am a winner. | | |
